When you visit this website

When you sign up for news and updates
If you tick the "sign up for news and updates" box on our contact form, we'll use your name and email address to send you occasional news and updates about The Modern Shopkeeper. We only do this with your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by contacting us at adrienne@themodernshopkeeper.co.uk. Your details are stored securely through Squarespace, and we will never sell or share them with third parties for their own marketing.

This website is hosted by Squarespace, and enquiries sent to us are stored in Google Workspace. Both providers store data securely and may process it on servers outside the UK; where this happens, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK's data bridge and standard contractual clauses.
We keep enquiry correspondence only for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any services that follow from it. Mailing list details are kept until you unsubscribe.
Lawful basis
We process visitor data and enquiry information on the basis of our legitimate interests — operating and securing this website, and responding to the people who contact us. Marketing emails and analytics cookies are processed on the basis of your consent.
